We are delighted to present an exquisitely beautiful bag with an Oriental touch that is only available at AttA.
This elegant bag is tailored with the finest fabrics which are traditionally used for making ceremonial costumes for *Shinto priests and shrine maidens. To create a unique and exclusive bag with great attention to detail, we were very fortunate to procure a variety of fabrics from the company (Saito Sen Shoten) in Kyoto, who specialise in the making of costumes including Junihitoe (twelve-layered ceremonial kimono) for court ladies.

A bag that conjures up the historical image of Japan and is only available at AttA – this is the bag we wanted to produce.
In general, those ceremonial costumes are tailor-made only upon receiving orders placed by shrines, therefore the tailors don’t keep the same fabrics and materials in stock. Additionally, as being hand-sewn by an experienced skilled dress maker for stage costumes, each bag is not only full of character but also a unique one off.

Please choose your favorite one from the three, A, B and C.

This exclusive bag would complement a bento box finished in traditional Japanese craft style such as lacquered or made of white wood - impress your friends at lunch time or even on a day or night out.
The generously sized flat base of this bag allows a bento box to sit securely and stably. The liner has been carefully selected to match the pattern of the outer fabric.
The bag is made of synthetic fibres and is washable at home. However, to keep this bag in perfect condition, hand-washing is strongly recommended. Do not use a tumble dryer or dry in direct sun light to avoid fading.

* Shinto is the indigenous religion of Japan, which is believed to be founded during the ancient times. In Japan, it’s traditional at New Year to visit a shrine and ask for good fortune in the coming year. There are approximately 8,500 shines throughout Japan. Itsukushima-jinja in Hiroshima which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Heian-jingu in Kyoto and Kasuga-taisha are the most well-known ones.
